Thank you for considering an IRA charitable distribution. The website link will take you to your IRA custodian's website, where you may be able to log in and make a gift to support the work of Alliance Defending Freedom. Another option is to use the phone number to call your IRA custodian. They will assist you in making an IRA charitable distribution. If you would like to notify us of your generous IRA gift, please check the "Notify us of your IRA charitable distribution" box above. Please note this is a time-sensitive transaction. If the IRA charitable distribution is intended to satisfy your required minimum distribution for the current year, verify with your custodian that this transaction will be completed prior to December 31. If the transaction is not completed prior to December 31, you may be subject to penalties if you have not satisfied your required minimum distribution. |

- If you chose to make an IRA charitable distribution, please contact us (or use the "Notify" option in the "Make a Gift From My IRA" sidebar tool) to notify us that a distribution check or transfer is being sent—along with your name, IRA custodian's name, and the date and amount.
- You can expect to receive an acknowledgment letter around 7-10 business days after we process your gift. If you do not receive your acknowledgment letter, please contact us to make sure your gift was properly assigned.
Gifts from your IRA
If you are 70½ or older, you can use your IRA to fulfill your charitable goals. You can use the "Make a Gift From My IRA" tool to contact your IRA custodian and make a qualified charitable distribution. Also, use the "Notify" option in the sidebar tool to let us know about your gift. We will acknowledge your generous gifts as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), which may satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD), if applicable.
IRA Rollover to Gift Annuity
The Secure 2.0 Act provides a once-in-a-lifetime easy way to do so using a tax-free distribution from your IRA! A charitable gift annuity (CGA) is a contract between you and our organization—in exchange for your charitable gift, we agree to pay you a fixed income for your lifetime. Once you contribute cash from your IRA, the CGA begins to make monthly or quarterly payments to you for your lifetime. Under the act's provisions, you must be 70½ or older to take advantage of this opportunity.
